GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Children’s Services and Supports, performs supervisory and professional tasks in staff development, supervision, case consultation, and management while maintaining model fidelity for the MST program; performs related work as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's in Psychology with the Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) credential AND at least three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of serious anti-social behaviors in youth.
Effective 6/30/2010, all new Master’s level psychologists must take and pass the Examination for Professional Practice within six (6) months of hire to retain employment. OR Master’s in Social Work with the Michigan Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Clinical AND at least three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of serious anti-social behaviors in youth. Willing and able to provide supervision of LLMSWs and LLBSWs as requested by Senior Management.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of family systems theory, social ecological theory, behavior therapies, and cognitive behavioral therapy and their applications.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including occasional weekends and holidays. Position will share on-call in rotation with the rest of the MST clinical team.
As THIRD PARTY insurance may be billed by this position in accordance with professional scope of practice, employee must meet and retain 3rd Part payer requirements.
Must retain DCH qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional Supervisor.
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and own transportation or the use of a vehicle during working hours.
PREFERENCES:
Experience working in a dual role with community mental health and juvenile justice programs.
