Summary: The MST Clinician will be working with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model with fidelity. Multisystemic therapy (MST) therapists do whatever it takes, via close collaboration with all involved, to address the needs of juveniles with serious criminal offenses who also are possibly abusing substances. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 12 - 17 make life-transforming changes. Change will be made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support, to name a few.

MST Clinician’s receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model.

COVID-19 Procedures: MST staff can utilize telephonic and telehealth services to support and supplement in person services as needed. Traditional, in person sessions may continue when necessary to meet client's essential needs. In these sessions, staff will practice social distancing and other CDC recommended measures to ensure health and safety to include but not limited to face coverings during face-to-face provision.

A Master's Degree in a Human Services field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.) preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience working with children and families may be considered. LMHP type preferred.

Experience And relevant work experience providing in-home and/or community-based therapy services with youth and families. Licensed Mental Health Professional Types (LMHP, LMHP-R, LMHP-S, or LMHP-RP) are highly preferred.


Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to travel to client’s homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.


  • Provide direct service, including client assessment and clinical documentation.
  • Conduct counseling and treatment interventions for clients.
  • Use of pragmatic (structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
  • Maintain high quality documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner, and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.
  • Marital Therapy using behaviorally-based approaches.
  • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology
  • Coordinate client services with admissions and program management staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
