Job Description

The Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) position is a full time 40 –hour per week staff position.  The position’s focus is on providing in-home services to families of at risk youth based upon the philosophy and intervention methods of the MST model.  The goal of the service is maintaining the youth in the community, within the family unit and outside of the juvenile justice system. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of families for appropriateness of fit for MST intervention model.
  • Compose treatment / intervention plans consistent with the MST intervention model.
  • Provide twice weekly in home therapy / support to the parent(s) / caregivers of at risk adolescents between the ages of 12 – 17.5 years of age utilizing the concepts of the MST intervention model.
  • Participate in weekly supervisor led supervision.
  • Participate in weekly supervision facilitated by the agency’s MST liaison.
  • Complete required weekly MST treatment documentation for each family.
  • Maintain a caseload not to exceed 6 families.
  • Attend required trainings.
  • Participate in the on-call process to provide after-hours support to case load families.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related human services field.
  • Experience working with adolescents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy(MS Excel and Word)
  • Driver’s license.
  • Bi-lingual - Spanish
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to provide on-call services on a rotating weekly basis
  • NJ residency within 1 year
