Job Description

Starting salary $69,000 commensurate with experience plus a $6,000 Sign-On Bonus


Provides clinical supervision of MST therapists across two teams. Ensures therapists provide MST treatment in accordance with the model, establishes and maintains relationships with stakeholders and adheres to all requirements by agency, model and funding sources.


  1. Participate in MST training and demonstrate a clear understanding of the MST model.
  2. Provide clinical supervision to two MST teams (4 therapists) who provide direct services to children and their families.
  3. Review weekly paperwork for all active cases and provide model adherent feedback to therapists.
  4. Facilitate weekly group supervision and consultation for each team.
  5. Monitor fidelity to the MST model and ensure completion of all model requirements (i.e. weekly paperwork; Therapist, Supervisor and Consultant Adherence Measures (TAM, SAM, CAM); audio tape review; session frequency, etc.).
  6. Prioritize therapists’ participation in quarterly MST booster trainings and participate in supervisor boosters.
  7. Maintain regular communication with MST consultant regarding therapist development, case progress, etc.
  8. Review all clinical documentation of therapists to ensure it meets agency, model and funder requirements (e.g. assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, MST opening paperwork, etc.).
  9. Complete clinical documentation and reports in an accurate and timely fashion; maintain all documentation and reports required by agency policies and funding sources.
  10. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with referring Probation Officers as well as community agencies in order to provide comprehensive and effective treatment for clients and families.
  11. Ensure regular communication and timely updates on case progress to referring agents.
  12. Provide 24/7 on-call support to therapists and on-call coverage to clients/families when needed.
  13. Provide field support to therapists on an as needed basis.
  14. Develop and monitor therapist development plans in collaboration with MST consultant.
  15. Partner with supervisor and consultant to create a supervisor development plan for professional growth.
  16. Know and implement agency policies and procedures.
  17. Contribute to program functioning by assuming responsibility for special tasks or leadership in special projects as appropriate.
  18. Contribute to agency organizational life by participating in agency-wide task forces, committees, or problem-solving teams as appropriate.
  19. Contribute to agency visibility and development of community linkages by representing the Village in community groups or committees, or assuming responsibility for community presentations, as assigned by supervisor.


  • Master’s Degree from an accredited program and professional license in the state of Connecticut. 
  • A minimum of three years of post-degree experience working with juvenile justice involved clients and their families in a community-based setting.
  • Experience in providing culturally competent individual, group, marital or family counseling required.
  • Prior experience with the MST model strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience desirable.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking, is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, engage in statewide travel and provide 24/7 on-call coverage.
  • Physical abilities required to accomplish the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations; ability to function safely in therapeutic situations, including provision of services in clients’ homes or host settings.
