Job Description

Crossroads Health in Lake County, Ohio provides a continuum of quality life-changing behavioral health and specialized chemical dependency treatment services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. As a leader in the behavioral health field, we offer a vast array of trauma informed programs and services that evaluate, educate, strengthen and support thousands of children, adults and their families each year.

Our Intensive Family Services team is in search of a charismatic individual for the position of Multisystemic Therapist (MST).  Multisystemic Therapy is an intensive family and community based treatment program focusing on addressing all environmental systems impacting adolescents with serious behavioral issues in Lake County. MST recognizes homes, families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods and friends can all play a critical role in a youth's life and each system requires attention when effective change is necessary. 

Our MultiSystemic Therapists carry very small caseloads and work intensively with referred youth, their caregivers, and all other community resources.  Our MST therapists receive ongoing training and supervision in the highly effective evidence-based MST model.  Hours are flexible and our therapists receive reimbursement for mileage. This position will receive a $4000 SIGN-ON BONUS with a competitive salary and an additional stiped related to work responsibilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct clinical treatment where you can leverage client strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding consequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
  • Conducting a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family; as well as how those concepts can impact problem behavior.
  • Engaging all interested parties to the client: primary caregiver, family members, supports, school staff, and other community related staff (courts, child welfare etc.).

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field of study or higher required.
  • LSW,  LPC or MFT required; LISW, LPCC or IMFT preferred.
  • Prior experience in delivering mental health services in a home/community or similar setting to children and families with complex needs is preferred.  
  • Must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
