Multisystemic Therapy provides intensive family and community based treatment that addresses the multiple behavioral and psychological determinants of serious antisocial behavior in juvenile delinquents and offenders across the key settings, or systems, within which youth are embedded (e.g. family, peers, school, neighborhood). The model combines services delivered in the residential treatment setting, an approach called the  Integrated Treatment Model (ITM),  with MST-based aftercare to provide a smooth transition out of placement and back into the home.
