JOB SUMMARY: MST is a highly effective and evidenced based treatment model directed at responding to and preventing antisocial or delinquent behavior in youth ages 12-17. MST therapists develop targeted interventions focused on empowering parents to address risk factors within the family, school, peer and community systems. MST is an intensive in-home therapy with a “whatever it takes” approach to partnering with parents and caregivers to keep youth at home, attending school and out of trouble with law enforcement. MST therapists draw heavily on structural, strategic and cognitive behavioral approaches, but also work creatively to address practical barriers to parent/caregiver effectiveness by connecting with community resources, working with schools or using dedicated funds to meet therapeutic goals.
